Healing should be done out of combat by means of items. WebGo craft a Healing Belt (caster level 3 required) with the help of any decent priest. Heals 6d8 damage per day. That should do you for a while. Alternatively, go buy a Wand of Lesser Virgor for 750 GP, and get 550 HP of healing out of it. Healing in combat is often one of the worst things you can do. Then the paladin can cast 50 shots of a spell he won't otherwise be able to cast until 6th level. A wizard can cast Fireballs at 6th level, and a wand of fireballs costs 11,250gp.
